What happens to your photo
Short version: it is never stored, never sold, and never used to train a model. The longer version is below, because a privacy promise with no detail is just a sentence.
Your photo is not stored
When you press the button your photo is sent to the image model, the finished shot comes back, and both are gone from memory when the request ends. Nothing is written to a database, a bucket or a disk. The application has no file storage of any kind — not for uploads, not for results.
The finished shot exists in your browser so you can look at it and download it. Close the tab without downloading and it is gone for good; we cannot send it to you again, because we do not have it.
Nobody trains on it
The image model runs on a paid commercial plan, and that plan's terms state that customer prompts — which includes files such as images — and the responses are not used to improve the provider's models. The free plans of the same providers explicitly do use content that way, which is exactly why this does not run on one. We pay for the tier that cannot train on you.
The provider does log requests briefly to detect abuse, and a human reviewer can see content flagged that way. That is a safety process, not a training pipeline, and we would rather say so than let you find it out later. If you need the processor named for a compliance review, ask and we will tell you in writing.
We have never sold an image, and there is nothing to sell
No image, yours or anyone's, is retained for a second longer than the request that made it. There is no dataset here to sell, license, or hand to a partner, and there never has been.
Google's advertising tag
Since 8 September 2026 this site loads Google's advertising tag, because we started paying for search ads and had no way to tell a click that led somewhere from one that did not. It records two things: that a visitor arrived from an ad, and whether they later chose a photo or bought a pack. It is not given your image, your licence key, or anything you typed.
Ad personalisation signals are switched off in our configuration, so the tag reports conversions without building an advertising profile on you. It loads on scintilar.com only — never on a preview or a local build — and it does not run on the free tools, which report nothing to anyone.
What we do keep
Enough to know whether the product works and whether anyone is using it — nothing that identifies you.
- The scene and shape you chosee.g. "marble_morning", "4:5"
- How long the generation tookin milliseconds
- Which stage of the page you reachedlanded, uploaded, generated, downloaded
- Your countryfrom the network, two letters
- Your cityfrom the network, as your connection reports it — never a street, never an address
- A random id for your browserno name, no email, no account
If you buy a pack, the licence key is stored as a salted hash alongside the number of shots left. Payment is handled by Dodo Payments; your card details never touch this site.
Your images are yours
Everything you generate is yours to sell with, advertise with and print. No credit, no licence back to us, no restrictions.
