The short version
- Bento.me shut down on 13 February 2026. The closure was announced in December 2025, more than two years after Linktree bought it.
- Bento said user and profile data would be permanently deleted after the shutdown, and that existing Bento links would redirect to Linktree.
- When we checked on 22 October 2026, bento.me and bento.me/<any name> both answered with a permanent redirect to Linktree's home page, not to a matching profile.
- So a bento.me link in a bio, an email signature or a printed QR code no longer reaches your page.
What happened to Bento
Bento was a grid-style link-in-bio page builder at bento.me. In December 2025 it announced it would close on 13 February 2026, with users advised to export anything they wanted to keep before the deadline. It had been owned by Linktree for more than two years (AlternativeTo, 21 Dec 2025).
It is not the first page builder to go this way. AlternativeTo notes that Linktree bought Koji in January 2024 and shut it down shortly after. Shutdowns happen across the industry, which is a good reason to keep your own list of links somewhere you control, whichever tool you pick next.
What to fix today
Search everywhere your old address might still be. The usual places, roughly in order of how much traffic they carry:
- Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Threads bios.
- Your WhatsApp Business profile and any pinned posts or highlights.
- Your email signature and newsletter footer.
- The website field on your Google Business Profile.
- Printed QR codes, business cards, flyers and stickers. These cannot be edited, so they need a reprint.
A printed QR code that encodes bento.me now leads to Linktree's home page. Until you reprint, a short line such as “new link in our Instagram bio” on the counter helps people who scan it.
Rebuild it in about ten seconds
The old bento.me pages no longer exist, so no tool can read them now. You still have three quick ways in:
- 1
You moved to Linktree in the migration
Paste your linktr.ee address. We read the public page and rebuild every button, heading and social icon as blocks you can edit.
- 2
You mostly live on Instagram
Paste your @handle. We start the page from your public name, bio and photo, and you add the rest in a few taps.
- 3
Your links are on another page
Paste any public page that lists them, such as your website or another bio link. If you kept your Bento export, copy the links from it into the editor.
The importer
Paste a link, see your page rebuilt
Nothing is published and you do not need an account to look.
What to look for in the replacement
- A business model you understand. A paid tool earns from the people who use it; a free one earns from upgrades, ads or the next acquisition.
- An easy way in and out: a page you can rebuild from a link, and links you can copy back out.
- A QR code that points at an address that forwards, so changing the page never means reprinting.
- The layout you liked. Bento was known for its grid; here, photo grid and carousel blocks give a similar feel next to menus, WhatsApp and forms.
Honest limits: Scintilar has no free plan and no custom domains yet. Building and previewing your page is free and needs no card. A card is needed only when you publish, and that starts a 14-day free trial you can cancel before it ends.
Questions
Can I get my old Bento page back?
No. Bento said all user and profile data would be permanently deleted after 13 February 2026. If you exported your page before the deadline, the export has your links and images to rebuild from.
Where do old bento.me links go now?
When we checked on 22 October 2026, every bento.me address we tried redirected to Linktree's home page, not to a profile. Update every place your old link appears.
Can I import my Bento export file?
Not as a file. Paste your Instagram handle or any public page with your links to get a head start, then copy anything missing from the export into the editor.
Is Scintilar free?
There is no free plan, so there are no spam pages next to yours. Building and previewing your page is free and needs no card. A card is needed only when you publish, and that starts a 14-day free trial you can cancel before it ends.
